Size:  60-70 cm.
Distribution:  S. New Guinea and N. Australia (Northern Territory).
Noter:  The Pig-nosed Turtle is the only member of its family.

The Pig-nosed Turtle is an almost completely aquatic turtle. Only when it lays eggs, it crawls onto land. The eggs hatch when the rainy season sets in and the nest is flooded.
